UNILITE Acrylic skylights are made of a thermoplastic weatherproof material of the type polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The acrylic contains UV absorber, which prevents almost all ultraviolet rays from penetrating. The shells are enclosed in extruded aluminium profiles incl. sealing tape, which acts as a seal between the skylight and frame and eliminates the thermal bridge. The skylights are available with domes of different shapes in 2, 3, or 4 layers of acrylic. The acrylic skylights are available in a range of standard sizes and both as fixed and openable for fire or comfort ventilation. Components for openable versions are not included in this EPD.
