Invalid EPDs
According to EN 15804, an EPD is valid for 5 years, after which it must be re-verified and typically revised if it is to remain valid. This is partly because data may have become outdated. There may also be other reasons why an EPD is withdrawn. It can be due to a breach of agreements with EPD Denmark, significant changes in production where one has not wished to recalculate the EPD, or simply at the request of the producer. A withdrawn EPD is not a valid EPD. In the case of errors in EPDs, EPD Denmark may require the EPD to be withdrawn if the error is not corrected within an agreed timeframe.
