A sedum roof, or an extensive green roof, is a climate-friendly solution which provides greater biodiversity in urban environments, retains rainwater, insulates heat and cold and in addition protects and extends the life expectancy of the roof membrane.

BGreen-it sedum mat is a fully pre-vegetated sedum mat, grown on a root- and water permeable geotextile with integrated erosion control. Typically, the mat is a component in an extensive green roof build-up in combination with growing media and drainage element. The mat can also be used as a plant cover in terrain.
