Tystø

Tystø is an upcycled partitioning wall system designed by a:gain and DEKO. The partition is made from reclaimed glass units and discarded wood.

The glass units were used as façade or roof windows in their first life cycle but can no longer be used as such. However, they can be reused as indoor partitions and live a long second life, replacing conventional and heavily polluting glass.

The frames of this partition are made of discarded wood from a window-frame manufacturer. The wood would otherwise be incinerated before serving a purpose.

This partition can be used to divide indoor spaces (e.g., in offices) and provide an optimal view in the room, bright daylight conditions and sound isolation.
